THE SUB-BOTTOM GAS HYDRATE ACCUMULATIONS EVOLUTION AS A RESULT OF SOME PECULIARITIES OF FILTRATION PROCESSES IN DEEP STRUCTURES OF MUD VOLCANOS

Abstract

The article describes the evolution of gas hydrate accumulations confined to deep-sea mud volcanoes. The results of numerical modeling of gas hydrate accumulation in the seabed are presented taking into account the peculiarities of filtration processes in the underwater mud volcanoes deep structures. The key role of the overlying the mud volcano feeding reservoir permeability is shown quantitatively.
