THE EARTH'S CRUST DEGASSING ZONE DETECTION WITH THE USE OF GEOPHYSICAL DATA CLUSTER ANALYSIS

Abstract

A comprehensive analysis of the deep rock petrophysical properties sections constructed from electromagnetic, seismic and gravitational data is carried out. With the help of Kohonen's self-organizing maps, a petrophysical cluster cross-section is constructed, on which an anomaly characterizing the region of potential hydrocarbon fluids degassing is detected. The zones of where they reach the surface coincide with the localization of hydrocarbon deposits.
