Abstract

In recent decades, the depth range of oil and gas concentration increases up to a depth of 11,127 m. The objects of study are mainly oil and gas regions with a wide development of salt tectonics (Gulf of Mexico; the Brazilian deepwater shelf, the Caspian Basin); regions with widespread mud volcanoes (South Caspian trough), and deep troughs of the old platforms (Timan-Pechora province, deep troughs of North American platform).
