OIL AND GAS TERRITORIES ZONING BY THE SURFACE DEFORMATION DEGREE FOR THE REGISTRATION OF RECENT GEODYNAMIC IMPACT ON PRODUCING AND ABANDONED WELLS

Abstract

This paper discusses the deformation model of compaction of pore and fractured porous reservoirs while reducing pressure in it and relationship between the model and parameters of the ground surface subsidence over the developing hydrocarbon field. It is shown that occurrence of critical deformations in rocks within productive layers will take place at the stage of declining production. The level of these relative deformations can have an additional destructive effect on the elements of the well construction and sealing materials. Basing on geodynamic monitoring of the Earth's surface it will be possible to evaluate zonal heterogeneity of reservoir in accordance with degree of change in its permeability and redistribution of residual reserves.
