LOCATION FEATURES OF MAJOR OIL FIELDS IN THE NORTH-CAUCASIAN OIL AND GAS PROVINCE (FROM THE STANDPOINT OF NONLINEAR GEODYNAMICS)

Abstract

The results of regional geodynamic studies of the territory of the North Caucasian oil and gas province and the interpretation of the available geological and geophysical information showed that the unique deposits of heavy oils: Anastasievsko-Troitskoye, Malgobek-Voznesenskoye-Alkhazovo and Eldar are confined to open geological systems and represent dissipative structures formed in the block of the geological environment with a side of about 120 km, under the action of the predominantly upward vector of the stress field operating from a depth of 180 km. According to their geological structure, these deposits are classified as complex.
